Title: New feedback on LM4 Post by mbwk on May 23rd, 2003, 1:49pm The story continues; - The old category file doesn't seem to be read. I've tried several ways but without result. - I like the new add button dialog but it seems to miss several thing like add spacerline check box, also creating a spacer line of different width and later editing the properties results in a default with of 3 instead of what it really is. - The category icons don't seem to get changed (property change icon), can't change the background color either. - The buttons on the bar stay transparent, can't change the button color (using a colored bar). - Like the style idea, seems to be usefull, but would like to see the ability to put the icon text below the icon. - Still missing the text in a spacer request (see my previous feature requests). More to come....Hope this will help you. Chears and keep up the good work ;) |

Title: Re: New feedback on LM4 Post by DonM on Jun 12th, 2003, 2:18pm Mbwk said the icons stay transparent but I found they are never transparent. I think LM3 is a fantastic program and I am looking forward to seeing new features in the future. But I'm going to wait until LM4 is near finished before I start reviewing it. There are so many bugs the reports could fill a book. Since most of the bugs are so obvious I don't think the programmer needs to be told. I only hope no features are lost in LM4. Only new ones added. One bug I will mention is when making any changes to anything in LM4, they do not occur until the program is stopped and restarted. An example is... not displaying a changed icon until stopping and restarting the program. The OK button should apply any change immediately without leaving the program. I Have used LM3 for several years and I hope LM4 will turn out to be even better. Thanks |

Title: Re: New feedback on LM4 Post by mbwk on Jul 17th, 2003, 5:17am DonM says the icon aren't transparent; try this: on the button bar - properties -background color ...change it to something different. Now put an icon on the changed bar, you'll find the background of the icon IS transparent. That's why you get the option on the button property (NOT the bar property) to change the fill color, which in case of an icon will effectively change the color of the background of only the icon. This is what I use to simulate the Office shortcutbar look, and it seems not to work (the fill color) in LM4. Cheers, ;) |
